When our property management team took over this housing site, we knew from the outset that it needed significant attention. The property had been managed by another agent for over ten years – and unfortunately, the level of maintenance had fallen far short of what residents deserved.
Phase One: External Works and Immediate Repairs
Our first goal was to make every building safe, secure, and watertight. We repaired roofs, cleaned and fixed gutters, and removed years’ worth of old satellite dishes and redundant wiring from the exterior.
Once the structure was sound, we carried out a full jet wash across the site – including garage roofs and pathways – dramatically improving the appearance and overall condition of the development.
Phase Two: Internal Safety and Compliance
Inside the buildings, we identified several urgent safety issues. We’re now removing all wood chip wallpaper (a known fire risk), completely rewiring each unit, and carrying out full fire compartmentation works. These upgrades ensure every property meets current legislation and offers residents complete peace of mind.
Seeing the Difference: Before and After
Our before photos show the condition of the site when we first arrived – tired, cluttered, and in need of care. Now, our drone footage captures the remarkable transformation from above, showcasing clean, well-maintained buildings and a site that finally reflects the community’s potential.
The difference is night and day, and we couldn’t be prouder of the progress.
Looking Ahead
This project demonstrates what can be achieved with proactive, professional management and a genuine commitment to improvement.
We’ll continue to share updates as the internal refurbishments progress – including more before- and-after visuals to highlight the full transformation.
At Potts Gray, we believe in doing things properly – creating safer, better-maintained homes for residents and long-term value for property owners.
